I have written copy for ten years, for my own audience and for my clients’. Engagement is not a trick you run on people. It is a question worth answering. Every prompt below has been posted, measured, and rewritten until strangers actually wanted to reply, and together they pulled the most comments I have ever seen.

They all work the same way. Each one is easy to answer and quietly about the person answering, which is the combination people cannot resist. Borrow the prompt, not the persona. Post one when your feed goes quiet, swap in specifics that fit your world, and then reply to the replies. A post that asks a question and ignores the answers never works twice.
